The Andrew J. Blackbird Museum approached Good Design Group after seeing our work for the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society. The museum has a large collection of Native American arts and crafts and limited space to display them. Housed in the old post office and home of Chief Andrew J. Blackbird, the museum needed a solution to make the most of their compact space.
The chosen concept creates an intimate organic space. The gallery is divided into a permanent place to tell the remarkable story of Chief Blackbird and a large area to stage temporary exhibits featuring the diverse collection of objects.
